Nairobi Canadian Immigration update
We learned yesterday that the first three days of this week, the Canadian embassy is closed to observe the Kenyan traditional period of mourning.
Praying they open Thursday and start working on adoptions as a priority!!
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and He created man. God is the creator Who never relinquishes His control of this world to human or spiritual beings. When we receive news that scares us, we need to remember Who is ultimately in control and nothing happens outside His divine will which is always good in the end for His children. But so often we are more like the 10 spies who only see the high walls, the giants and all human impossibilities without looking up like the 2 spies who see Almighty God Who has promised and trusting Him against all our fears and apprehensions.
God loves His children more that any earthly father for his children. He takes us in His arms like a little fearful child and says "Hold on to Me and I will carry you safely through".
While the disciples were in the boat in a storm and very fearful, imagining all the negative results that could happen, Jesus was in the boat with them and had promised them a safe landing, but not a smooth sailing. And so life situations can be like that for us as well.
Psalm 118: 5 When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place. 6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? 7 The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies.
And so we are also hard pressed into prayer because we need the Lord and are fully dependent on Him, but we are also fully persuaded that He will not leave us nor forsake us or leave us over to Satan or to the schemes of man. Prayer is our lifeline to heaven as food is our lifeline for our bodies. All we can do is encourage one another in the Lord
1 Thessalonians 5 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
