Bordeaux Letters

Remember back in August we waited a whole month to get our Bordeaux Letters?  It may prove to be beneficial to us that the Canadian Embassy needs them to process our girls' visas. (Americans get them after their visas.)

Today there was a posting on the U.S. State Department website stating the following:

On October 22, the Congolese Ministry of Interior and Security, General Direction of Migration (DGM) clarified limited exceptions to the suspension of exit permit issuance referred to in the Department of State’s October 8 adoption notice. The DGM will issue exit permits to adopted Congolese children whose adoptions were approved by the Congolese Ministry of Gender and Family’s interministerial adoption committee beforeSeptember 25, 2013. The DGM provided the U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa with a list of children whose adoptions meet this requirement.

(Bordeaux Letters are issued by the Congolese Ministry of Gender and Family)

Our names were submitted to the DGM by our agency because our Bordeaux Letters were issued in August.  Now we have to get hold of that list and make sure our names are in print so our agencies can submit those to Nairobi CHC for proof that we will get our exit letters given - so they can go ahead and issue our visas.

I know being optimistic always sets one up for disappointment, but it helps the fragile emotions to keep hoping for the best.

Please pray our names are on that list!!!
