Homestudy Update Needed

The Adoption Act of BC requires that we need to have an updated homestudy each year.  Choices has already given us an extension to October 1 and since we haven't traveled yet, we need to have our homestudy updated for the third time!! That means new Prior Contact Checks, Police checks, Social Worker visits and, of course, an invoice.

God does not consider the cost too high for the redemption of a life. He gave HIS only Son for us.

  1. God's children are not exempt from trials, frustrations, disappointments and pain in this life. God has allowed Satan a certain space, but only as far as He allows. In the end, all things work together for our good, even though we cannot see or reason that out from our perspective. But it makes a world of difference how we handle our pain and disappointments. At such times it may seem easy to give up on God. (As if He is the cause of all evil or at least does not give us what we want at the moment) But we are reminded that He is God and not we. We are the created while He is the Creator.

We, as Christ-followers, are confident of nothing in this world except God's power and personal care. That does not mean we will never suffer, but it means we can surrender everything into His capable and sovereign hands knowing His love for us.
Psalm 23: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil (because it is only a shadow!) For You are with Me and Your rod and staff comfort me.

And so we can talk to God, "God are You with Me?" And we know He is. The knowledge of His presence becomes a comfort in times of trial, danger and fear. Life can be dangerous at the best of times, but if God is with us, then nothing can touch us without His knowledge and will.

    Psalm 91:
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Therefore we pray without ceasing. We trust without wavering. We work as best we can. We rest in His faithfulness. We look to Him for our answers.

May God Almighty continue to give you strength for the day, grace for the moment, and His abiding presence as He leads you through these new trials in this continued journey of faith.
