We really had hoped and prayed to travel this week. But God in His Sovereignty has now allowed that to happen just yet. We can't see the big picture so it really boils down to trusting what HIS plan is, and that He's working out alot of details behind the scenes that we just can't see.
There's a brave Canadian mama that is in the DRC right now, trying to deal with Canadian Immigration from a different angle. I can't imagine going and then not being able to take our children home with us. Glad that she's willing to take some huge risks and be a voice.
She was told that the DGM wants to meet with the Ministry of Gender and Family to review everyone's Bordeaux Letters because one family (probably out of sheer desperation) had their date changed to show it was issued before Sept. 25 as that is the cut-off date. We had our letter in August so we should be fine, but yet another delay before the DGM communicates with Nairobi. We have to be so careful of our actions that they don't affect others down the line who are also desperate to bring their children home.
Praying the reviewing of the Bordeaux Letters happens VERY soon!!
