We hire a driver & car for $10/hour. If we have appointments, he waits for us.  It's not worth their time to drive back and forth. We can't take the city bus because they only go so far and we have no idea about directions and such. It would take all day traveling across the city by bus.

There are several grocery stores that are easy to get to at which you buy almost anything we need (needs only, not "wants"). Prices are a bit higher but doable, depending on what you buy.  Although we did stop for ice cream last week at Nice Cream. Fabulously delicious.  Like a loaf of bread is .50c but a smaller-ish jar of jam is $6.50.  We brought Nutella along which is a nice treat. Cheese is outrageous. Milk you buy on the shelf. Kelvin couldn't get over that one! LOL.  Water we buy by the case of 6 large bottles, ok price.  Coke is called Coca.  Take out pizza is $20/medium. Tastes good. We found this take out place called Aldar's that has huge burgers for $5.  Otherwise burgers are usually $15 without fries.  Just to give you an idea.  We can pay pretty much everywhere in US dollars, even the market. These are all US prices.

People are friendly at the guest houses and so are our drivers but in town, it's a totally different story.  The friendliness is nothing like we experienced in Ghana/Liberia.  Oh yea, they were friendly at the market, of course :-).
