at the market today. we didn't take the girls as it wouldn't have been safe for them. Les stayed home with them. Most in the city are NOT adoption-friendly so we pick and choose where we can go with them.

city buses:  Kinshasa has a population of 10 million. their downtown infrastructure and wealth is better than it is in Ghana. But go 30 min. out of the city, and your heart  just breaks. There are even stop lights and roundabouts (we haven't figured out how they work as everyone gets to the centre at the same time). But they all seem to know how to navigate without crashing.
