Last week there wasn't any new progress made ...that we know of. We're learning that we usually don't hear anything until there is something concrete they can say. In Canada, we're used to getting "updates" but here you just wait until it's done, then they tell you.

We were really hoping to hear news this past week but TIA.  We know exits are just around the corner. There are only a dozen or two families that have Bordeaux Letters (a certain document issued before the suspension that puts us into the grandfathered group which they will deal with first).  Remember at that time we were supposed to get exit permits because we were grandfathered but CIC refused to grant Canadian visas for our kids so that's why we're still waiting.  The commission heading up the exit permits for adoptions is still organizing and reorganizing themselves. Soon!  very soon!  Please pray for favor on our file and that there won't be any more documents they need - can't imagine yet another document they could possibly come up with.

A Canadian friend came and joined us at this guest house and is living next door with her Congolese son - so that is much less lonely for us.
