The girls are incredibly mellow. "mama, .....(jabber in Lingala)..." :-) There has been basically no crying and you should see them sleep. We lay them down, within a minute or two they are sleeping. We were expecting the opposite but are very grateful for this transition, so far! Sunday afternoon we were invited to a very special event. (will share soon) where the Canadian-Congolese kids played together. Swimming included!
All of a sudden Georgette decides she's afraid of men. Little sister follows her example. Today they're jabbering away again. They speak Lingala but can understand French.
Patience is very cuddly and easily lays her had on our shoulders and wraps her arms around our neck. Georgette also cuddles nicely and wants to be a baby at times like P. Georgette has this beautiful smile that you can get from her almost any time.
We can sure feel the prayers for attachment beginnings. We are bracing for transition, loss, and bonding issues but for now enjoying what we have.
Georgette wiping Patience's nose with her dress. LOL. Each time Georgette takes her shoes off, she puts them in this backpack, along with some cothes that she got from the orphanage. Not sure what's going thru her little mind.
