Today marks 4 weeks in the DRC.  Our girls have blossomed incredibly and have become very happy children.  What a blessing!
We went to the Congo River today - the area of town where the Ambssadors live, along the river.   Across the river is Brazzaville, in The Congo.

Sad news for me.  I had to cancel our tickets for tomorrow so I will not be home for Kelvin's graduation. It's far too costly to come home and back again a week later. Plus the investment into bonding at this point would be too difficult to regain. It's not putting one child in front of the other, but this is the situation we are in at this time. I asked God if we could please be home for Kelvin's grad but for some reason, that request has not been granted.  It'll be a hard day missing out on when family should be together.    Thankful for a son who is gracious and forgiving.

Saw some fishermen but apparently there's another place where they have the nets out.

  1. Aaww, that's too bad, but all things considered, I think you are making the right decision for right now.
Yes, thankfully Kelvin is cool like that ;)
