We just wanted to put this out there in case there’s someone that still
wants to donate something:
** cash is always welcome for those items that are still missing in some
bags as we continue to fine-tune them. (We used most of the donated cash already
for a few extra backpacks and some new clothing items.) We’re going on faith
that the airlines will allow us to take extra humanitarian luggage for FREE so
we will use all the cash for the kids.
** we are looking for 3 used hockey bags that you no longer need to ship
these bulky backpacks in.
** we would like to spruce up the older girls’ bags with some new
clothing (2 girls age 14 and 2 girls age 10). The little kids have enough new colorful items.
**New things needed: some towels for older kids, washcloths for all,
girl’s D.O., pencil crayons, personal notebooks/journal & nice pen for
especially the older kids, and any other practical (or not) which would be
enjoyed by these orphans.
Does anyone have good connections with a dentist that could donate extra
toothbrushes and toothpaste? If you have a connection, please ask. There’s never
enough toothbrushes in Africa!
We have plenty of used clothing and shoes to bring along as
extras for the orphanage caregivers to hand out to other needy children in their
community.
