This past week, alot of time has been spent in writing letters to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and our local MP. We sent our personal story to them yesterday.
We are also spending this weekend collecting information from all the other Canadians adopting from the DRC and forwarding a group letter to the Minister of Citizenship, Chris Alexander, along with all our personal info. We've heard that Mr. Alexander is a likeable person. Let's pray he has enough compassion to put pressure on Nairobi to issue our girls' Canadian visas.
Parliament dismisses this Wednesday until the middle of January, but each of these MP's will be in their ridings, hopefully still working and hearing from us.
Thank you all for your love and support. His Grace is sufficient for us! For His glory, He has allowed this to happen when He could have intervened. Today we see in part, but some day it will all be revealed.
Dear Faithful Heavenly Father:
ReplyDeleteWe know in our head that we can trust You, and that wonderfully all things work out for those who love and trust You, and we know our lives and the lives of our grandchildren in Congo are in Your hands, but we still worry and fear looking at the circumstances and feel so much uncertainty in this whole situation.
Jesus, You reminded us that the flowers of the field are clothed and the birds of the air are fed, and that You care for us in far greater measure than these. We pray that You would remind us in this situation, that You care for us much more that we care for ourselves, and that Jesus gave His very life for us.
Even if fear and anxiety and worry rob us of the full measure of joy we have in You, yet we will walk in confidence and trust in You knowing You guide every step of our way and Your presence will go with us. Even if this situation seems to have derailed at the moment, yet we know that You will direct our steps and guide this whole situation for us.
Please give us the sense of assurance we may be lacking, as we place our full trust in You alone. And because, Jesus, You were also human, You understand our anxiety, frustration and fears. You alone are our refuge and strength and we trust in You alone according to Your own Word -Romans 8:28.
