Did you know that it's National Adoption Sunday today? Never knew it existed until a few years ago.
Our big news is that we officially have a referral (see last posting for definition) signed for two precious little girls. God has identified the two precious children that He is going to add to our family. The oldest one is 16 months, and her baby sister by birth is just under 2 months old!! How we want to just go there and get them today!! Unfortunately we are to submit to the earthly governments that control this situation which means another 6 months of more paperwork, court, documents, visas, and everything inbetween before we can travel.
We ask that you please PRAY for these precious souls that God is going to redeem. Please pray for our little girls, that God would protect them, keep them healthy and alive (unfortunately a sad reality for many children in 3rd world countries) until we can get to them. Ultimately God is in total control; but there is a real enemy out there also fighting for these kids whose only mission is to steal, kill, and destroy. We know full well this is a spiritual battle.
Please also pray that when our dossier is sent to DRC (hopefully within a few short weeks), that the court process will be smooth AND QUICK, with no mistakes on documents to hold us back in time.
Please rejoice with us. We are thrilled beyond words!!!! We serve a great God who is still in the business of saving lives and souls!

Congratulations. I found your blog through ABBA. We just applied for a grant and hopefully things will be in our favour too! It's awesome to see another Canadain family too (we have the same agency also). I'm going to start following your blog.
