Finally! We have some time and connection. Hope it lasts long enough to write you an update. We arrived late Tuesday evening with all our luggage in tact. or so we thought. We ended up with someone else's bag but the next day without too much hassle were able to make an exchange at the Brussels office downtown.  Not so fast on the free luggage thing...  Brussels made us pay for 3 of the 5 extra bags since we flew United the first two flights and then changed airlines. Apparently we needed approval from them as well. Go figure.

Had a lot of turbulence going down the coast of Africa. The blue bags came out. :-(  But after 4 stopovers we finally arrived in Kinshasa.

The next morning, we were urgently summoned to an important meeting. So we put our plans aside to pick up the girls until Wed night as this meeting was very important. Positive.
