Yesterday another AP and myself went to Bowen Island to spend the day with our Immigration Consultant, Andrea Bastin. She has been working around the clock tirelessly for our group of Canadians FOR FREE!!! Who does that? Only someone who has a deep passion for the vulnerable children around the world.
We spent hours brainstorming, going over documents, lining out the next plan of attack.

Just before heading back to the ferry, our MP called my phone with some good news. A conference call just took place between CIC and various MP's (ok this NEVER happens!) and Andrea was there to hear it on speaker phone!  This will help her a great deal for the future of adoptions in Canada.
We were told that CIC is communicating with the DGM and lists are being shared.  More details to follow as it becomes public news. It's fanstastic news for us!!
We are making travel plans for Africa before end of April. Praise God!  It's hard to believe this is finally happening.
