500 DAYS

Today marks the 500th day of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Exit Letter suspension. That’s 500 days that hundreds of fully adopted kids—kids who’ve been told they now have a family—have been sitting, and waiting, for their parents to come to take them home.
On this 500 day anniversary, hundreds of adopted kids wait, and they wonder what it is like to be part of a family. For 500 days they may have wondered how their lives are any different from before they were adopted. 500 days and no end in sight.
Help us raise awareness on Facebook and Twitter! Share this post with President Obama, The White House, The Department of State, Secretary of State, and ask your friends to do the same!
It’s time to get these kids out of institutions and into families. It’s time to end this nightmare.
