Here's a list of the orphans we are collecting donations for. We already have some items coming in but the need for the older children seems to be greatest. If you can supply a pair of runners or shirt or shorts, I know these kids would be over the moon with something new!
Bijou specifically asked for these three items for the list of children below:
1). shoes (probably running shoes)
2). backpacks
3). clothing
But these items are also welcome: washcloths/towels, travel size shampoo/conditioner/skin cream (anyone save these from traveling?); soap; tooth paste, tooth brushes, and other small items just for fun. (and everyone loves new underwear) :-) But we want to stress the shoes, backpacks, and clothing items.
8 BOYS:
one - 3 year old boy
one – 6 year old boy
three – 12 year old boys
three – 14 year old boys
8 GIRLS:
two – 3 year old girlstwo – 6 year old girls
two – 10 year old girls
two – 14 year old girls
They are also helping (four) other children that are not
in the mercy home: ages 6, 10, 12, and 14 years old.
New items would be great, but also gently used is good. Just think if it’s
something we would purchase for our children.
What a blessing if we could gather items for each of
these children. There aren’t many so if everyone can do something, you would put a huge smile on their faces and give them encouragement that someone half a world away thought about them.
Please pray for these children, too!
